Martin D-45 deluxe 200th ann.ltd edition number #85 of 91, built to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth date of the grounder of the Martin company, C.F. Martin Sr. in 1796. This Brazilian Deluxe Edition corresponds to the actual number of pre-war D-45 guitars built from 1933-1942 (91) It features are deluxe, select spruce top with aging toner that has aged beautifully, pre-war forward shifted scalloped X-bracing, highly figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides, stunning Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, block abalone "C.F. Martin" headstock inlay, in old style Logo, ivoroid-bound body and neck, abalone top and back trim, soundhole rosette, neck and heel, front of headstock, but also deluxe features like side purflings, edge of headstock, edge of fingerboard. It features gold open-gear Martin tuners with butterbean buttons, snowflake inlays in ebony bridge with long saddle, ebony fingerboard with snowflake and diamond inlays. typically for one of the most impressive limited editions Martin ever made are the Christian F. Martin (I) signature inlaid at 21st fret, inside label signed by C.F Martin IV and replica C.F. Martin sr (C.F. Martin I) signature, 1-25/32" (45,2mm) nut width, 25.4" (645mm) scale. Exceptionally fine sounding instrument in virtually unplayed NM-Mint condition, with original Geib-style.
